The LRF issued a grant of $25,000 to Deo Tarimo through Lion Landscapes. The purpose of this grant is to help kickstart the lion conservation project of a promising Tanzanian national in a key landscape, and to allow for significant capacity building and training via engagement with the Lion Landscapes Tanzania team. Deo will use the funding to better understand the threats facing lions in the Mkomazi ecosystem and to begin to systematically tackle them.
