To bolster existing projects that the LRF is supporting in Namibia’s Damaraland region – all of which are designed to tackle human-lion conflict, we issued a grant to the Conservation Travel Fund to help with the construction of predator-proof livestock corrals. These corrals are being constructed in conflict hotspots and should significantly reduce livestock losses to lions and thus improve the conservation prospects of this iconic desert lion population.
