Dr. Peter Lindsey, Director of the Lion Recovery Fund, recently contributed an article to the New Big 5, an international initiative to create a new classification of the five most celebrated wildlife species to photograph, not hunt, in hopes of inspiring increased conservation efforts. Lions were inducted as one of the New Big 5 species, and Dr. Lindsey’s article discusses the key threats to lions and what we need to do to help them recover.

Read the full article here, and learn more about the New Big 5 project and the other species selected to be in the group here.
