Sinamatella Lion and Rhino Protection Project
The LRF has already provided support to help protect the eastern boundary of Hwange National Park from the ongoing threat from snaring for bushmeat. Bhejane Trust works with the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Authority to protect the northern boundary of Hwange National Park from incursions by bushmeat poachers. The LRF issued a grant to Bhejane Trust to develop a base, purchase a new vehicle and cover some operational costs to support these efforts and help protect lions and their prey in a key stronghold for the species.
