Surveying Lions in the Zambezi Valley
LRF issued a grant to Wildcru to survey the lion population of Zimbabwe’s Zambezi Valley. This grant has the twin objectives of monitoring the impacts of our investments in the management of the Charara Safari Area and in assessing the status and distribution of lions across the vast complex of protected areas in the Zambezi Valley. This will help to identify any key conservation challenges – enabling the authorities to better tackle them.
